Description: Educational settings have been mostly neglected when it comes to sustainability. One reason for this neglect is the cost of paying a team to create a plan and then drive for change. Luckily, you already understand your school and the people who attend it – usually better than those who run the school – and are well-suited to be the agent of change. And this occurs while you are at school and is an important part of one’s education – learning to communicate with/manage groups of people and making an impact at the same time.

Tips:

• Put the word out there and create a team to spread the ownership and help with ideas.

• Ensure that you get approval from your faculty or principal before implementing any actions. Ideally, try to find a like-minded person to represent them on your team.
